Seek
International cooperation from all countries in the world to recognize
that there are children living in exceptionally difficult conditions,
and that such children need special consideration;
Provide information and support for educators to expand and refine
their educational system to include the rights and freedoms of children
in the world;
Encourage boys and girls to have knowledge of gender equity in other
countries and equal access to educational programs in their communities;
and,
Enable boys and girls to have access to information and services
to assist them in planning their educational and financial futures,
To recognize that children, for the full and harmonious development
of their personality, should grow up in a family environment, in
an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding, taking into
consideration the importance of the traditions and cultural values
of diverse world communities:
Children, families and educators worldwide will be able to recognize
and reduce the risk of violence, and communities will be mobilized
to support violence prevention projects that meet children's needs;
Children's service providers will have access to information and
training to support them in their work to provide a more global
approach for treating children who are victims of any kind, of violence
and abuse, including cultural, political and religious violence
and degradation;
Children's service providers will be able to advertise on the ICP
website to ensure effective services will be available to children
without delay when violence or abuse against them occurs; and,
Communities will be encouraged to recognize that violence is not
acceptable and will be aware of the social and global effect of
violence against children.
